Guess who is gracing the front cover of issue 3 of World War II Re-Enactors Magazine!
It was quite a tough shoot to do, because I met the soldier chap about 30 seconds before this shot was taken, so it was hard to portray the emotion required. But it was still incredibly atmospheric with the steam, and I adored the lovely reproduction suit I got to wear. It was made by Shona of Heyday, but she has not put it into production yet. Watch this space! I haven’t got a copy of it, and won’t have unless I go and buy one, so if anyone has scans of the inside, please let me know!
It’s available from newsstands (stocked in most branches of WH Smith) now and is well worth subscribing to if you’re interested in re-enacting in the UK.
As a result of this shoot, I am now the official pinup girl for the Watercress Line Steam Railway! I will be attending and modelling at the Christmas Leave event on the 27th December. Stay tuned for more information on this super event.
Back soon with a big New Year’s Eve announcement and a review of the Chap Ball!

You look wonderful, Fleur. I think you've managed to portray the emotion perfectly – not so sure about the soldier though!
Congrats! You express exactly what you had to express, the soldier looks like he was making an effort to hold you.

You look perfect! Your beloved, however, could use a little more practice ๐
Great shot! I like the reflection in the window.
He puts on a brave face and you look every inch like the desperate, but lovely wife left behind.
You look lovely as always, and i want that suit! I hope Shona does indeed make them, i can't get enough of her trousers at the moment! x
Lovely pose and photograph. Congratulations on making the cover!
You look so beautiful, Fleure; I love that photograph, very evocative. And the suit looks gorgeous too!
I think you did a great job with the emotion! Love how it turned out. Although, you look much more vintage than he does! ๐

What a fabulous image! Congratulations ๐
I need news on NYE – i'm making plans….
Oh wow, Fleur–you look absolutely stunning in that shot! Congrats on the cover! ๐
You look quite splendid, madam. The gentleman looks somewhat colicky but I suppose that could be entirely authentic. On the other hand it could be that he is contemplating desertion and returning home to the little woman…
So beautiful!
What an amazing blog!
Your photos are genuine, darling;)
Beautiful! You can see why you are their pinup now, too!
Wow, that is an amazing shot of you! You totally look like you are smitten with mystery man! Congratulations, oh to be on the cover of a magazine ๐
