Cocktails In The City

I came on board as a social media manager for Cocktails in the City for their London Winter edition in March 2016. I went on to manage the London Summer 2016 event as well and will be once again working on the London 2017 edition.

My role at CITC is as a support to the Events Manager to devise a social strategy and content plan, create and post content, to liaise with all the bars and brands involved to ensure they generate video and photo content to reshare, engage with social media followers, run advertising campaigns across all platforms and generally do an awesome job.

Aside from the substantial growth in engagement & followers, the sold-out winter event saw hashtag impressions of Β 6.2 million on Twitter and 1 million on Instagram, with the summer one hitting 6.1 million Twitter and just short of 3 million on Instagram.

Next stop, #CITCLDN 2017!

The King’s Ginger

I’ve been doing copywriting, content and photography for The King’s Ginger (a liqueur formulated by Berry Bros. in 1903 for King Edward VII) since 2011. In October 2015, I took over the running of the Facebook page,Β working on improving TOV, posting at optimum times and formats, varying up content & taking new photos. Growth rates & reach immediately tripled, as did engagement. These stats have stayed consistently high and I continue to manage the page with a light touch, posting 1-2 times a week.

HOP Vietnamese

As part of DigitalBinx, I’ve worked on a few small but awesome food clients, creating lovely content for them. HOP Vietnamese opened in June 2015 and have just opened a second branch in Bank. I take photos, post 3 times a week and manage customer service enquiries.

Zia Lucia Pizza

Launching small restaurants is somethingΒ I have lots of experience with. We launched Zia Lucia’s first pizzeria on Holloway Road in June 2016, setting up all their social media platforms from scratch, running Facebook advertising to build page fans, proactive following on Twitter and Instagram, creating and curating content. I took a lot of high quality photos for use on social media and for PR, including some special pink pizzas for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I also ran some events for local businesses, inviting them to free or discounted tasting events, capturing email addresses and, finally, wrote monthly newsletters using Mailchimp.

The Glenlivet

I often do stints freelancing at busy agencies who need a hand on specific social media accounts. Last summer, I worked at Zone Digital on The Glenlivet, producing exclusive subscriber content for the website and drafting social media posts for the brand.

Pure Free From

Another quick job I did for Zone Digital was a few weeks of content for Pure Free From. An extremely fun job, making the most of Pure’s witty, quirky ToV! Here are a few of my posts.

  • So I've officially peaked for this month now that I've managed to make Snapchat recognise the cat. I might as well put my feet up for the rest of July. πŸ’πŸ» Here we are with our matching flower crowns. And don't follow me on Snapchat because I have no idea how to use it properly. #wandameowsey #snapchat #snapcat
  • This is how @terryfunkhouser has to make tea of a morning. She jumps up there & won't let him put her down. He's late for work pretty much every day. #wandameowsey #orientalshorthair

  • I rarely get political on social media as all my discussions are done IRL. But this photo from #Hellfest sums up how I mostly feel at the moment - πŸ–•to Brexiters, politicians, my post festival washing pile, Brexiters, the weather, racists, my to do list, Brexiters. I have this constant slightly sick feeling in my stomach about tomorrow but, on the bright side, it'll all be over soon and this uncertainty and constant sniping will stop. Go out and do your civic duty and exercise your democratic rights tomorrow, UK. And on a lighter side note, it does look like I'm squatting to do a wee... luckily, unlike #Glastonbury, those clever Hellfest Frenchies poured several tonnes of woodchips on all the mud, so it was highly absorbent but hard on the arsecheeks. πŸ‘ #remain
